Albanese Labor Government backing Casino Beef Week

The Albanese Labor Government is investing in the future of Casino Beef Week with a $1 million commitment over the next three years to support the iconic event which kicks off today.

This investment reinforces the Government’s commitment to Australia’s world-class beef industry and regional communities.

Established in 1984, Casino Beef Week is one of Australia’s premier agricultural events, bringing together community and producers to celebrate the strength and success of Australia’s beef industry.

The event showcases the quality of Australian beef and the expertise, innovation and dedication of the producers and professionals who underpin the industry.

This year’s event will run from today until Sunday 31 May, with the first round of funding being delivered this year and further support continuing across 2027 and 2028.

Events like Casino Beef Week help keep regional industries strong by bringing people together to share ideas, showcase innovation, support local businesses and celebrate the achievements of the sector.

The Albanese Labor Government is proud to back the beef industry to ensure a strong, sustainable and profitable future for our producers and regional communities.

Beef exports were worth more than $16 billion in 2024-25, a record high and a testament to the hard work across industry.
