The Albanese Labor Government will supersize funding for Beef Australia, investing $12 million to deliver a bigger and better event in 2027.
This new investment will double funding for Beef Australia, an unprecedented level of support for the event.
The investment underscores the Albanese Labor Government’s iron clad commitment to Australia’s almost $16 billion beef industry, which is our most valuable agricultural export.
Beef Australia is the country’s premier beef industry showcase, held every three years in Rockhampton.
The event brings together the beef industry from across the country and around the world.
The event doesn’t just support Australia’s world-class beef industry, it’s also a critical contributor to the Central Queensland economy.
Last year’s week-long showcase, Beef2024, generated a value-added impact of $94.5 million for the economy, attracting trade delegations, genetics buyers and multinational companies.
The Beef2024 Handshakes Program showcased 149 businesses and facilitated over 200 business meetings, generating millions of dollars’ worth of business with Australian companies
