Labor helping tackle climate change from the ground up

The Albanese Labor Government is delivering grants of between $70,000 and $100,000 for grassroots projects that will support sustainable, climate smart ways of farming in Australia. 

The Climate-Smart Agriculture Program has announced the recipients of the Small Grants Round, which supports individuals, farming and community groups to carry out sustainable agricultural projects that support farmers and landholders. 

The projects cover a wide range of sustainable agriculture practices, including climate resilience, cropping cover, soil health, water management, regenerative farming, pollination and biodiversity. 

The aim of the grants is to improve the management of natural resources, and increase sustainable on-farm productivity and resilience to climate change.
